Autoclave Sterilization : Sterilization is the destruction of all living micro-organisms, including spores (reproductive bodies) of the hardiest bacteria and fungi. We take meticulous care by employing an advance infection control system to protect our patients from cross infection. To ensure total hygiene all our instruments are cleaned, and sterilized with Autoclaves. Autoclave, a dental sterilizer that processes instruments faster and more effectively than ever before. In autoclaving, instruments (which are first cleaned, dried, and placed in a special steam-penetrable wrap), are subjected to pressurized steam for 15 to 20 minutes. The instruments are then left in their protective packaging until they are needed.
Infection Control : Any instruments that cannot tolerate high temperatures should be thoroughly cleaned and soaked in disinfectant chemicals. Disinfection & Sterilization measures by use of chemical disinfectants and using steam under pressure, hot air and boiling water. Use of gloves, masks, protective eye wear, protective clothing such as aprons, disposables such as needles, syringes, gloves, wipes, suction tips, scalpel blades, glasses etc. & employment of proper hand washing methods & high-vacuum evacuation. Meticulous cleaning of equipment & instruments are carried out prior to subjecting them to disinfection / sterilization procedures. Contaminated wastes are chemically treated prior to disposal. Proper and hygienic waste disposal is carried out.
Disposable materials : We use a fresh, new pair of gloves for every patient that is disposed off immediately after the treatment is completed. All gloves are torn as well so there is no question of whether any of them were ever used before.
This is all done in front of every patient . In addition we use disposable masks, suction tips and plastic glasses. All local anesthetic is given from sealed syringes that are opened in front of you and disposed off immediately after treatment. Our waste is separated in colour coded bags and this is collected by IMAGE [indian medical association goes eco-friendly], a waste disposal facility in kerala.
Intraoral-Digital Radiographs : Intra oral digital radiography otherwise called as RVG greatly enhances the quality of the X ray images. The clarity, contrast, resolution is far superior to the regular film.
This improves the quality of work and reduces the radiation exposure required. The images are got immediately and calibration or measurements can be done using the soft ware along with it. The images can also be archived or mailed easily.
Intraoral Digital Camera : Seeing is believing, this facility allows the patient to see his dental problem. A small pen shaped camera is moved around the inside of your mouth so you can see your teeth enlarged on our computer screen in the treatment room.
This painless, technique allows you to see your dental problems such as defective fillings, fractured teeth, decay, bleeding gums and restoring your mouth to optimal health. The patient is informed and involved right from the diagnosis and can actually see the intraoral image of the finished treatment.
Plasma Curing & Bleaching unit : We use the latest curing and bleaching unit from reputed brand. It has multiple light settings in both wavelength and time. This helps in curing composites and whitening teeth in a fraction of the time required by the standard light cure units.
It is also a very handy equipment in treating children as it reduces chair side time and is a lot more easier on the patient as isolation and dry field is not required for too long.
